Our portfolio includes more than 350 prestigious high schools, each carefully selected based on our experience with what international students value. We’ve been partnering with high schools in the USA and worldwide for 20 years. By collaborating with our schools throughout each student's lifecycle, we ensure that students are prepared and happy with their choices. While the schools focus on academic excellence, Educatius takes care of the rest.
York College offers a fantastic range of course options, with over 40 A Level subjects and 80 vocational programmes for students to choose from. Located in one of the most-loved UK cities and ranked 1st in Yorkshire and 3rd in the UK for A Level results, it's easy to see why the college is hugely popular with both local and international students alike. With impressive modern buildings and equipment to enhance the student experience both in and outside the classroom, the college is often described as the ideal stepping stone between school and university or employment. Students are encouraged to develop independent study skills alongside receiving expert teaching from their tutors, whilst also having the facilities and coaching they need to advance in their extra-curricular interests as well. With a ‘junior university’ ethos combined with ongoing pastoral support, the college’s outstanding learning environment enables students to perform to the best of their ability and progress to the next stage of their careers with confidence.
Facilities
York College is home to a range of world-class facilities for students to make the most of both in the classroom and in their spare time. This includes a sports hall and several 3G pitches, a restaurant and a modern multi-level learning centre. The Alan Ayckbourn Theatre is a 200-seater theatre used for workshops, plays, concerts and rehearsals, with professional lighting and sound equipment.
Sports & Arts
The Sports and Music Development Centres at York College provide talented student athletes with the opportunity to combine an outstanding education with high quality coaching in either Men’s and Women’s Football, Men’s and Women’s Rugby, Men’s Basketball and Women’s Netball. All of those selected will follow a full-time education programme as well as receiving expert coaching in their chosen sport or extra tuition in their musical instrument or vocal performance. Successful involvement in the Development Centre programmes will provide students with opportunities to progress into: careers in professional/semi-professional sport (this is only for those who show exceptional development), coaching, refereeing, work in sport and recreation, further and higher education, scholarships, or places at Conservatoires
Student Life
The college has a fantastic reputation for student progression, both into industry jobs and top universities. Last year, approximately 1,000 York College students submitted successful university applications. Out of this significant number, 5 students secured places at Oxford or Cambridge. More than 50 York students have been accepted to Oxbridge in the last 10 years. Students who choose to live in York will be spoilt for choice in their spare time - there are 30 world-class museums to explore and a thriving cultural scene, not forgetting that the city has been voted the best place to live in the UK by the Sunday Times. The friendly locals, famous for their warmth and generosity, will make international students feel right at home.
