San Luis Coastal Unified School District has schools located in the coastal foothills of central California and right along the coast of the Pacific Ocean. In addition to the schools excellent locations, they also offer impressive academics, such as 20 AP Courses
to choose from. Schools in the San Luis Coastal Unified School District are recognized as one of “America’s Best High Schools” by Newsweek, a California Distinguished School, and a National Blue Ribbon School.
FACILITIES
The district has a variety of facilities for students to use, including athletic fields, an auto shop, a pool, and a gymnasium. The schools also have newly renovated classrooms with LED lighting and a brand new science wing on one of the schools.
SPORTS AND ARTS
With a variety of sports throughout fall, winter, and spring, there are a number of different teams that students can join. In particular, one of the high schools has a traditionally strong cross country program, with both teams winning numerous league and state championships throughout the years. State regulations in California can cause some restrictions for international students playing Varsity-level sports at their school. Please contact us for details.
There are plenty of arts opportunities for students, both fine arts and performing arts. Some unique offerings include ceramics, digital photography, and television and video
production.
